A Carbon County club has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for a violation of the liquor code.

East Penn Sporting Club Inc., located at 61 Club Lane, East Penn Township, was cited for violation fo the local option small games of chance act and a Department of Revenue regulations violation.The board claims the club failed to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of two years immediately preceeding March 31 concerning the local option small games of chance act.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
