More corrections/deficiencies noted for Alpine Rose

Eldred Township received a copy of the letter from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation dated April 5, 2010 that was sent to Richard W. Muller, Jr. of Alpine Asset Holding, LLC for the proposed motor sport track off Upper Smith Gap Road, Kunkletown.

It stated that his Highway Occupancy Permit Right-of-Way plans are being returned to his engineer for additional information or corrections and once the deficiencies have been addressed, they are to be returned for further review and approval.The letter is available for the public to view at the municipal building during office hours.Donna Frailey, the Eldred Township Earned Income Tax collector, has resigned. Her last day of employment was Tuesday, April 6.Sharon Solt, township supervisor and secretary, said that the township's solicitor, Michael Kaspszyk needs to look over a contract with Berkheimer Tax Administrator, who the board approved to become the interim tax collector, if everything is all right with the contract."This is our busy tax season so we need someone right away," said Solt.Clair Borger, supervisor chairman and roadmaster, reported that the road crew is working on sealing alligator cracks and fixing pot holes.The board approved extensions until July 9, 2010 for:• Gower Estates subdivision• lands of Herman Borger subdivisionThe board also approved the sewage planning module and plan for the Thomas and Wanda Dowling minor subdivision plan.Boy Scout Jacob Borger of Troop 209 attended the meeting, working on a Citizenship badge.
