Volunteers sought as ombudsman for aging

The Pennsylvania Senior Corps RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) is looking for volunteers to help with the Carbon County Agency on Aging's Ombudsman Program.

Needed are people who are willing to visit and talk with people who are residents in long-term care facilities and help make a difference in their lives. An ombudsman can request a facility closer to their home and should have at least three or four hours a month available to volunteer.Volunteers will receive training in order to educate residents, their families and providers about the rights and concerns of the residents.
