DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on several driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers in recent days.

On March 30 about 7:25 p.m. troopers stopped a vehicle along SR209 in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Ellen McCauley-Blake, 50, of Kresgeville. She was found to be under the influence and charges will be filed, troopers said.On March 31 about 9:50 p.m. troopers stopped a vehicle at Weir Lake and Kunkletown roads, in Ross Township, Monroe County, for a stop sign violation. The driver, Stephen Robert Isaksen, of Saylorsburg, exited his vehicle and started to charge to the rear of his car at two fully marked state police vehicles. He then realized they were police vehicles. He was found to be under the influence and was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which revealed a .20BAC. He will be charged.On Friday, April 2, about 11:40 p.m. troopers stopped a vehicle driven by Michael Keiper, 33, of Kresgeville, at a sobriety checkpoint set up along SR209 at Mill Pond Rd., in Polk Township. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said, and charges will be filed.On Saturday, April 3, at 1:40 a.m. troopers stopped a vehicle along SR209 at the on-ramp to the turnpike for several traffic violations. The driver was identified as Philip Cerami, 19, of Kennet Square, Chester County. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was placed under arrest with the DUI charge pending.Also on Saturday, about 2 a.m., troopers stopped a vehicle along SR248 at State Rd., in Franklin Township, for two traffic violations. The driver was identified as Patrick Sean Burke, 46, of Schnecksville. He was found to be under the influence and the DUI charge is pending.
