A Slatington man is facing charges of theft and related counts.

State police at Fogelsville said Jesse Ryan Hafer, of the 7000 block of Elm Tree Drive, borrowed an air compressor and tools from Keith Hafer, Lyon Valley Rd., New Tripoli, Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, and refused to return them. He also removed an aluminum siding brake from the victim's property which he allegedly took to a scrap yard for cash. Total value of the stolen items was set at $1,650. Troopers did not indicate if the victim and suspect are related.Jesse Hafer was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, troopers said.
