Twin City Powerlifing Club members excelled at the Pennsylvania State Championships this past weekend at State College.

The team was led by strongmen Rob Eckhart and Jesse Strawser of Lehighton; veteran lifter Nick Theodoru of Palmer Township; and football player turned lifter Brandon Mauro of Bangor.The lifters pushed and pulled these impressive weights without assistance of supersuits, American RAW style and drug-free. They competed in bench press, squat and dead lift.Eckhart placed first in the open 242-pound class with a total lift of 1,624 pounds. His individual lifts were 545, 523 and 556.Strawser placed first in the Junior 275-pound class. He had a total lift of 1,740 pounds. His individual lift totals were 622, 501 and 617.
