Break-in, theft incident probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a burglary, theft and mischief incident in Schuylkill County.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Timothy Lee Koppenhaver, 56, of 457 Dietrich Ave., Tower City, Porter Township. Unknown criminals gained entry to the home sometime between 2:30 and 3:15 p.m. on Friday, March 26, and removed a Brinks safe, green in color, that contained $100 in cash and numerous other items.Betty June Klinger, 82, of 62 Orchard Drive, Hegins, Barry Township, reported someone removed a white antique "Wagon Wheel" from the front yard of her property sometime between 8:30 p.m. on March 16 and 10:30 a.m. on March 17. The wheel is valued at $200.Annabelle M. Huber, 54, of 238 Hill Rd., Hegins, Barry Township, reported her mail box was ripped from the post in front of her home and dragged down the road. The incident occurred about 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 27.Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
