State police at Frackville are investigating a theft incident that occurred at the St. Patrick's Day parade in Girardville.

Troopers said Gail Powell, 72, of Girardville, reported someone took her purse that she had left under a table along W. Main St., during the parade. The purse contained cash. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 20.
