State police at the Fern Ridge barracks have issued five citations for false alarms having been made repeatedly in the past 12 months.

In each of the cases, police said the actor(s) caused or permitted four or more false alarm activations during the year.The citations were issued against: Jose Quinones, Effort; Advanced Auto Sales, Pleasant Valley Motors and Gwen Reece, all of Brodheadsville; and Yolande Sassane, Tannersville.
