More than 200 red and white balloons were set free in the memory of Nick Bickowski, a sophomore at Palmerton Area High School who recently passed away at his home. High school classmate and friend, Sierra Miller organized the balloon send off, which was held at the Towamensing Cemetery in Palmerton last Thursday. Family, friends and PAHS classmates all participated in the send off. A fund is being established for the Bickowski family. Contributions can be sent to or dropped off at the First National Bank of Palmerton. Donations should be made out to the Benefit for Nick Bickowski.
