Members of the 1980 class of Jim Thorpe High School will hold a meeting to organize their reunion on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. at Terpstra's Bar, formerly Gerbers. Community meetingThe second in a series of three community-minded meetings by Mayor Mike Sofranko will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Fairview Fire Company. Residents are invited to attend these meetings to discuss any problems or concerns they may have about the community. The third meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Phoenix Fire Company. Members of borough council and the police department will be on hand.TryoutsTryouts for the Jim Thorpe Drama Club production of "West Side Story: will take place on Saturday, Jan. 30, at 1 p.m. in the high school. The tryouts are open to anyone ages 13 and up.
