Tamaqua hires coaches

The Tamaqua Area School Board made several coaching appointments Tuesday evening.Greg Stewart was rehired as Head Boys Soccer Coach, at a stipend to be determined.Lynn Deiter was hired as Junior Varsity Softball Coach, at a salary of $2,129.The following assistant coaches were hired: Caleb Calarco, Orwigsburg, Varsity Baseball, $1,825; Jay Pilla, Nesquehoning, JV Baseball, $1,000; Michael Sakash, Track and Field Assistant #2, $1,906; and Andrew Smarr, Track and Field Assistant #4, $1,050.Henry Woods, Lansford, was approved as a volunteer assistant baseball coach.
