Eagle Rock Resorts Company, Hazleton, was granted an extension of 90 days on four subdivision plans, three in East Union Township and one in North Union Township, by the Schuylkill County Planning Commission at its monthly meeting held Wednesday evening at the courthouse in Pottsville.

The purpose of the extension was to give the developer time to address outstanding issues which have to be resolved before final approval is given to the subdivision plans.The subdivision plans are as follows:Eagle Rock - Western Summit South Phase Five subdivision plan in East Union Township because DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) Agency has not completed reviewing its sewage facilities module.Eagle Rock - Western Summit South Phase Six subdivision plan in East Union Township; Eagle Rock - Western Summit South Phase Seven subdivision pllan in East Union Township and Algonquin Valley subdivision pllan in North Union Township because they are awaiting comments from both the county engineer and the Schuylkill Conservation District about the plan and have scheduled a meeting on February 22 with the district and DEP to discuss remaining issues. The developer has been given time to complete the plans by the April meeting of the county planning commission.Re-elect officersJohn Malinchok, Frackville, was re-elected chairman of the commission for his 15th consecutive year; Gary Bender, Tower City, vice chairman; and James Setlock, Orwigsburg, secretary.The commission reviewed subdivision plans submitted to local planning commissions and since they met the county plan had no comment. Plans reviewed included the plan of Jude M. Gaydos, New Ringgold.Zone permitsThe county zoning office reported to the commission it issued 10 permits for a fee of $4,140 and the estimated construction cost was $2,706,038. Permits were lifted by the following:MAS-TEX Builders Inc. to construct a home for Dale and Diane Miller in East Brunswick Township at estimated cost of $200,000; Alan Lane Investments for converting a store front to an apartment in Tower City for $20,000; Stephen Recchione, Porter Township, a 24 foot high residential garage, $25,000; Michelle Maccarone, Palo Alto, pole style garage, $6,500; Pilgrim Holiness Church, Muir, Porter Township, church ramp, $4,600; Duane and Sue Mendenhall, Porter Township, storage shed, $1,938; Richard Heim, Tremont Township, garage, $12,000; Teddy and Susan Kemble, Porter Township, residential storage building, $25,000; and Thomas and Martha Alexander, Gordon, addition to home, $11,000.We Care Organics Inc., for Blackwood Inc., alkaline stabilization of bio-solids into a Class A product using N-Viro Process and storage of product, $2,400,000.
