Life Skills Bread Baking

Slatington Elementary and Northern Lehigh Middle School will be hosting a Life Skills Bread Baking presentation by King Arthur Flour on Jan. 27.The middle school assembly will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the Slatington Elementary assembly will be given at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.King Arthur Flour presents information about baking know how and giving back to the community, and will provides the students free supplies to bake a loaf of whole wheat bread for their families and one for a local food bank.Any questions, please contact Sue Bowser, Family and Consumer Science teacher at Northern Lehigh Middle School at (610) 767-9812.How to Study WorkshopNorthern Lehigh School District presents a How to Study workshop by Richard P. Gallagher, CSP, educational consultant, for students in grades 2-8 and their parents.The workshop will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9 at Peters Elementary School. A complimentary dinner will be provided from 6:30-7 p.m., followed by the presentation from 7-8:15 p.m.The presentation will discuss more than 100 ideas to take the mystery out of studying.Free How to Study books by Gallagher will be raffled at the end of the presentation.Child care will not be provided for siblings.
