A driver was cited after a one vehicle crash that occurred about 7:32 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, along SR61 in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County. It was one of two crashes investigated by state police at Frackville on Monday in the county.

Troopers said Ethan David Potts, 17, of Pottsville, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck northbound in the left lane when he lost control and struck the guide rail on the east berm with the front end.After impact the truck continued north and struck the west guide rail with the front end.Potts was not injured but the truck had to be towed from the scene. Troopers said Potts was cited.The second crash occurred about 2:50 p.m. along SR4036 in Union Township. Troopers said Dina D. Zimmerman, 31, of Danville, was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when she lost control with the vehicle impacting with a rock wall along the east berm.Zimmerman and a one-year-old boy in a child safety seat were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
