Pleasant Valley picked up a boys basketball victory on Tuesday night while Northwestern, Tamaqua and Lehighton all registered girls victories.

In swimming action, Tamaqua swept Moravian Academy.BOYS BASKETBALLES South-Pleasant Vy.Pleasant Valley jumped out to an early 23-12 first quarter lead and never looked back en route to a 57-45 Mountain Valley Conference victory over East Stroudsburg South.The win improves Pleasant Valley to 4-4 on the season while the Cavaliers fall to 1-7.The Bears placed four players in double-figures with Pat Kregeloh leading the way with 16 points.
