A McAdoo man faces drug charges after being caught with marijuana in Coaldale.

Joseph Martin Zarsky, 26, of 335 W. Blaine St., was found by Officer Charles Andrew Blesse at 12:22 a.m. Sept. 13 lying down in a truck parked in the woods off West Phillips Street in the Kline's Hill area.

Blesse went to check the truck and saw a man who had been lying on the passenger side of the truck sit up. The man was identified as Zarsky, who told Blesse he was waiting for his girlfriend to call so he could go to her house.

Officer Jeremy P. Talanca arrived to assist, and Zarsky got out of the truck to speak with the officers.

Talanca asked Zarsky if he had anything illegal on his person, and Zarsky said "yes, a little bit of weed and a pipe."

Zarsky told police where the items were, and they recovered a small amount of marijuana and a pipe used for smoking the drug. He was released to his girlfriend, who came to pick him up.

Zarsky was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
