April Strohl and Bill Ulshafer are wed

April Lynn Strohl, daughter of Edward and Antoinette Strohl of Palmerton, and Bill Ulshafer, son of James and Jean Sherry of Lehighton, were united in marriage on May 8, 2010 at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall in Jim Thorpe. Christian Morrison, mayor of Tamaqua, officiated the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Juliette Forbes, Lehighton, as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Nicole Atherholt, Lehighton; Vicki Ketcham, Lebanon, Tenn.; Kristin Remmel, Palmerton; Lindsey Newhard, Palmerton; Nicole Polk, Lehighton; and Samantha Newhard, Virginia Beach, Va. Abigail Strohl, daughter of the bride, was the flower girl.Brian DaCosta, Lehighton, was the best man. Ushers included Jan Llewellyn, Lehighton; Jeremy Stuckly, Lehighton; Ryan Young, West Chester, Pa.; Michael Magyar, Lehighton; Jason Fronheiser, Lehighton; and Ronnie Fronheiser, Lansford. Christopher Martens, son of the bridegroom, was the junior groomsman.Following the ceremony the couple hosted family and friends at a reception at Memorial Hall.The new Mrs. Ulshafer is a 2000 graduate of Palmerton Area High School. She is employed as a rural carrier at the Palmerton Post Office.Mr. Ulshafer is a 1998 graduate of Carbon County Area Vocational Technical School. He is employed as a foreman at Kovatch in Nesquehoning.The newlyweds reside in Franklin Township.
