Dispute over bill
A board of arbitration ruled Kenneth and Carrie Klinger, of 200 W. Second Mountain Road, Pottsville, owed a $15,948.11 fuel bill to Economy Gas and Food Markets, SR61, Schuylkill Haven. The defendants operate a trucking company and the suit claimed they entered into a written contract to purchase fuel and other products and owned a bill.
Diane Bretzius, 30, Port Carbon, had her probation revoked by Judge John E. Domalakes and was re-sentenced to serve 18 to 36 months in the county prison and when released to serve an additional five years on probation. She received credit for serving 38 days in prison. Bretzius was placed on probation in May 2009 after pleading guilty to endangering welfare of children.
Michelle M. Miller, 38, Shenandoah, had her probation revoked by Judge Domalakes and re-sentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 87 days. This was her second revocation. She had pleaded guilty to retail theft.
Jeffrey L. Schaeffer, 39, Pine Grove, had his probation revoked by Judge Jacqueline Russell and he was re-sentenced to serve five years on probation in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) and provide 60 hours of community service. The judge also ordered he have no unsupervised contact with any female under age 18 and comply with all directives of the sex offender program and not view or possess any pornographic material. He had pleaded guilty to indecent assault and corruption minors and after serving time was placed on probation.

Jail and probation
Thomas William Edwards, 39, Frackville, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and drew a sentence from President Judge William E. Baldwin to serve 30 days in the county prison followed by four years and 11 months on probation in the IPP. He also has to pay a fine of $1,500 and court costs, $300 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $100 to the Catastrophe fund, $60 to the Schuylkill Medical Center, a $50 monthly supervision fee and his driver's license is suspended 18 months. On violating a stop sign was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Edwards was cited by Patrolman George Parnell, Frackville police last August.
90 days in jail
Christina L. Kofchock 21, Hamburg, Berks County, pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced by Judge Russell to serve 90 days to five years in the county prison with credit for 29 days spent at Lehigh Valley Hospital Psychiatric Unit. She also must pay a fine of $1,500 and court costs, a $50 monthly supervision fee, $100 to Catastrophe fund, $300 to SAE fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund and perform 20 hours community service. On a charge of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Kofchock was cited by Patrolman John Dzurek, Orwigsburg police, last July 19.
