Panther Valley registration

With the start of school only two months away, parents need to be certain that their children are ready for school before Aug. 25. It is extremely important for parents to register their children for kindergarten before school begins.

In order to register a child for kindergarten in the Panther Valley School District the child must be five (5) years of age before Oct. 1, 2010. A state-issued birth certificate or other acceptable proof of name and age along with immunization records are required for each child registering. State law requires that all children entering school for the first time must have the required immunizations. The sessions for Kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year are as follows: A.M. Session 8:58-11:35 a.m., Nesquehoning (includes Lake Hauto, Hauto and Estates) and all Summit Hill bus stops. P.M. Session 12:45-3:22 p.m., all Lansford and Coaldale bus stops. Bus stop times will be released at a later date.Families who have recently moved into the Panther Valley School District are also reminded that all their school-aged children should be registered for school as soon as possible.
