The Schuylkill County Planning Commission reviewed three subdvision plans at its monthly meeting held Wednesday evening at the courthouse in Pottsville.

The subdivision plan of Mary M. (Krammes) Betz, Eldred Township, to subdivide 40 acres into one lot not for development and the residue parcel consists of an existing house with on lot water and on lot sewer system.Conditional approval was given to two subdivision plans, Alfred J. Matuk, Union Township, who seeks to subdivide 9.99 acres into two lots for single family residential and James M. and Elaine A. and Jonalthan R. Rodichok, Porter Township, who seek to subdivide 56.94 acres into one lot for single family residential. Before Matuk receives final approval he must obtain a non-building waiver as required for all lots not being developed and a sewage facilities planning module approved by the appropriate municipal official and sewage enforcement officer.Also approval from the PADEP (Pennsylvania Department of Public Protection) of the proposed installatin of the on-lot septic system. The Rodichaks must provide a deed of annexation for the commission's solicitor to review and approval from the municipality for a new driveway to connect to a municipal road.Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle Power Plant was given an extention to the May meeting to submit its plan for a power plant for Porter and Frailey townships.The commission reviewed a number of proposed projects and had no comment. They were as follows:A sewerage facilities planning module application made by the county to connect into the Schuylkill County Municipal Authority water system for the county's proposed pre-release center to be constructed in Ryan Township, next to the state correctional institution.Northeastern ITS NPDES is seeking an obstruction and encrouchment permit from Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) to construct a conduit fiber optic system from Ohio to New Jersey. The conduit will transverse Schuylkill County through various municipalities and will be installed within state highways right-of-ways.Avere, LLC, is seeking a permit from PADEP to construct 52 multi-family units and 34 semi-detached units in a land development project in Norwegian Township.Water Quality Management Part II is seeking a permit from PADEP to construct a wastewater infrastructure facilities in Western Summit South Phases 5, 6, 7 and Algonqui in-East Union and North Union townships subdivisions.Schuylkill Haven is seeking a permit from the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission to supply domestic waterservice to areas in North Manheim Township.Gale Mining Company is seeking a surface permit from PADEP to establish a surface mining operation in Schuylkill Township.South Manheim Township is amending its subdivision and land development ordinance.Schuylkill County Municipal Authority is seeking a permit renewal from PADEP for the Tremont Wastewater Treatment Plant discharge located in Tremont Township.R.E. Pierson Construction Company is seeking a permit from PADEP for temporary operation of a portable crushing plant at Middleport Materials plant in Blythe Township.
