High school bloodmobile results

Thirty-four potential donors registered for the Miller-Keystone bloodmobile at Palmerton Area High School on Dec. 2, where 21 units of blood were collected.

Community bloodmobile

The Miller-Keystone Blood Center is having a community bloodmobile visit at the First United Church of Christ, next to Palmerton Borough Hall, on Monday, Dec. 13. Registration hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

As an extra incentive, Miller is also having a drawing for a month's supply of home heating fuel. Anyone who registers to donate during December is eligible. If you make an appointment to donate (call (610) 826-2097), you will be given priority over walk-ins, although walk-ins are also welcome.

Anyone in general good health, over 17 years old (no maximum age), weighing at least 110 pounds, who has not donated whole blood in the last eight weeks, is eligible.

For answers about specific medical questions, phone Miller toll-free, at 1-800-223-6667 during office hours.
