State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of a snowboard that happened in an 11-minute span on Monday at the Blue Mountain Ski Area, Lower Towamensing Township.

The victim is Patricio German Borja, 25, of Bound Brook, N.J.Police said between 5-5:11 p.m. someone arrived at the free ski check area and utilized a claim ticket to steal the victim's Santa Cruz snowboard. The board is valued at $585.
