Two arrested for damaging property

Two Monroe County residents were arrested for causing over $10,000 in damages to a property they had rented.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Robert Lacast, 47, and Karen Lacast, 45, of Delaware Water Gap, were arrsted on a warrant this week.According to police the two rented property from Elizabeth Gil, 37, of Drums, Luzerne County, in A Poconou County Place in Coolbaugh Township. Prior to July 18 they were evicted from the residence. When the Lacast's moved out they allegedly did $10,000 worth of damages to the property. Police said the two turned on the water and let it run within the residence and also stole items from it.A criminal check revealed that Robert Lacast was on state parole in New Jersey and left the state without permission.Robert Lacast is charged with criminal mischief, as a felony three, criminal conspiracy, supervisioin of person paroled in other states, theft and receiving stolen property. Karen Lacast is charged with criminal mischief, a felony three, and conspiracy.
