A Tamaqua father and daughter were recently sentenced on criminal charges and were among 10 who entered guilty pleas recently in the Schuylkill County Court and were sentenced by President Judge Willliam E. Baldwin.

Eric J. Orach, 46, of 227 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, on a charge of simple assault was placed on strict probation for 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, pay court costs and make restitution of $1,565 to Christine Fritz, 233 Catawissa St., Tamaqua. He was cited by Cpl. Henry Wood, Tamaqua police, last Jan. 25.Erika Orach, 19, of 227 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, on a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $200 plus costs. Charges of defiant and criminal trespass on property of Brandon Fritz, 233 Catawissa St., were nol prossed.Jordan W. Nieves, 19, of 22 Bridge St., McAdoo, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia was placed on strict probation for 12 months, pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, pay court costs and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Nieves was cited by Patrolman Alfred Walsh, McAdoo police.Joel Cossari, 36, Reading, on a charge of being involved in an accident striking the rear of a car operated by James Fred Long on SR61 in North Manheim Township last March 4, was placed on strict probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, pay court costs and make restitution of $6,520.38. On summary charges of duty to give information about accident, failing to drive at a safe speed and careles driving was fined a total of $75 plus $150 in costs.Thomas John Eye, 21, Pottsville on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana in the 1600 block on West Market Street, was placed on probation for 30 days, pay $50 to the CJEA fund and $100 to the Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund and pay costs of prosecution.Jenine Miller, also known as Jenine Barry, 34, Girardville, on three charges of forgery of prescription to obtain drugs, was placed on strict probation for 23 months, pay $200 to CJEA fund, pay court costs, pay a fine of $500, perform 30 hours of community service. She was cited by Lt. Daniel Holderman, Butler Township police.Quinton Joseph Noti, 45, Pottsville, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia at his home, harassment and disorderly conduct was placed on strict probation for 23 months, pay $100 to the CJEA fund, $100 to the SAE fund and court costs. On a charge of possessing a small amount of marijuana was placed on probation 30 days to run concurrent with the first sentence. He was cited by Pottsville police.Kodie Allen Defour, 20, Schuylkill Haven, on a charge of theft was placed on probation for 12 months, pay court costs, pay $50 to CJEA fund and make restitution of $283.56 to Sovereign Bank. Defour was cited by Patrolman Kirk Becker, Pottsville police.Eric Shaun Guscott, 21, Pottsville, on two charge of delivery of a controlled substance from his home, was sentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison and on a charge of possession of drug paraphenalia and a cell phone was sentenced to serve 12 months probation but it runs concurrent. He also must pay $150 to the CJEA fund, pay costs of prosecution, make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and $150 to the Pottsville Police Department Drug Task Force.Douglas Richard Kerner, 42, Ashland, on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge was placed in Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) for 60 months, pay a fine of $2,500 and court costs and perform 40 hours of community service. Kerner was cited by Patrolman Raymond Horan, Butler Township police, last May 31.All defendants must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee.
