"Becky & the Beasts", an eclectic Classic Rock/ R&B musical group, will provide the music this Saturday, Nov. 28 for St. Joseph Regional Academy's Annual Fundraiser at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event starts at 8 p.m.The Fundraiser has been a tradition over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend for the past eight years. This is a BYOB event (no kegs, please). Advance tickets are 2 for $15, $10 each at the door. For advance tickets call (570) 325-9392.The local band consists of Becky McFadden, lead singer/keyboards, Sean McFadden, guitar/vocals/, Tim Perry, lead guitar/ vocals, Jody Kennedy, bass/keyboards/vocals, Larry Choley, drums/percussion and Darryl Seiwell, sax/trumpet/flute and vocals.They have been performing in the area for the past 10 years, playing numerous fundraisers for local charities and schools as well as national events at Penn's Peak, including the Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina victims, Jim Thorpe's Diligent Fire Co., the NYFD after the 911attacks, and the Carbon County AOH.The band has opened for national acts such as The Little River Band, The Guess Who, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Orleans, and The Badlees.
