A Slatington woman was killed and another borough resident was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash early Saturday morning. State police at Bethlehem said the accident occurred about 1:30 a.m. along Best Station Road in Washington Township.

Troopers said Amy Lynn Chamberlain, 23, was eastbound when she lost control of her car while rounding a curve near Lower Court. The car crossed the westbound lane and went onto the berm where the passenger side struck a tree.Front seat passenger Michelle A. Pagano, 21, of 6322 River View Road, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:28 a.m. Lehigh County Coroner's office said she died of blunt force trauma.Chamberlain was flown by PennStar helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. No condition report was released by the hospital.
