Council members in the Borough of Jim Thorpe moved into their new municipal building last month. This month, at their normal monthly meeting on Thursday night, they announced their new online home in a series of Web sites that were presented to residents in attendance. Jeffrey D. Leslie, a principal with Leztek Systems, Jim Thorpe, demonstrated the new borough Web site, the new Web site site for the Jim Thorpe Police Department and a new commercial Web site for Memorial Hall.

The sites are located at Jtborough.org, Jtpolice.org and Jtmemorialhall.com."Every site has its own calendar and is searchable," Leslie told the council. "The sites are all scalable and can be extended with more pages and subpages."Council President John McGuire urged residents in attendance to send in photos for the Web site as well as suggestions for making the site better or more useful. He encouraged community organizers to send their calendar items into borough secretary Louise McClafferty. Web site links marked webmaster on the various sites all allow users to send mail back to Leslie.In particular, Leslie and McGuire asked residents to send in suggestions for the Frequently Asked Questions or

Section of the Web sites."These sections take a real load off the borough because people can get their questions answered before they have to call us," McGuire said.Leztek has over 12 years of experience in the computer industry and provides integration, networking and Internet services as well as computer repair, technical support and software installation for a wide range of businesses and residential customers throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.Leztek was hired earlier this year to make changes to various borough computer systems and to facilitate the move of all systems from the old location into the new municipal building.
