Free H1N1 vaccines for Weatherly students

The Weatherly Area School District has scheduled three clinic dates for students to receive the H1N1 vaccine. The vaccine is available to any Weatherly Area School District student enrolled in grades kindergarten through 12th.

Clinics will be held in the Weatherly Area Middle School cafeteria as follows:Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., for kindergarten through fifth grade.Monday, Nov. 16, from 6-8 p.m. for middle school students.Thursday, Nov. 19. from 6-8 p.m. for high school students.Consent forms, provided on site upon arrival, need to be completed by a parent or legal guardian on the day of the clinic.A parent or legal guardian must be present for the vaccine to be given.Students being vaccinated are asked to wear a short sleeved shirt.Children ages 5 to 9 will need to receive a second dose of the vaccine at a later date and time, approximately a month after the first vaccine (Date and time to be announced).Any questions regarding the clinic may be directed to Becky McFadden or Tracy Hernandez, Weatherly School Nurses at (570) 427-8687.
