Kori Wronski, New Boston, Mahanoy Township, entered guilty pleas to charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct as filed by Mahanoy City police. On the charge of criminal mischief was placed on probation for 12 months by Judge John E. Domalakes and ordered to perform 10 hours of community, pay a $50 monthly supervision fee and make restitution of $2,300 to Jennifer Dombrosky. On a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $100 and pay all costs of prosecution.Rule contract breachedJudge Cyrus M. Palmer ruled that Christopher T. and Elizabeth A. Sauer, of Hegins, breached a contract agreement with Joseph A. Daly Sr. and Jeffrey M. Daly, also of Hegins. The contract was over the sale of 58.3 acres of land along Deep Creek Road, Hegins, from the Sauers to the Dalys'. The ultimate sale of the land was to be for $140,000. The judge also dismissed a countersuit brought by the Sauers against the Dalys.Bench warrenthearingsAlan M. Irvan, 61, Minersville, had the bench warrant issued for his arrest dissolved by Domalakes after a hearing in court. Irvan agreed to voluntarily commit himself to the psychiatric unit of the Schuylkill Medical Center, Pottsville, after it was brought out he had mental health problems. Iran was arrested in January 2008 by Minersville police on charges of defiant trespass and disorderly conduct.Racelle Lynn Cassidy, 23, Kulpmont, after a hearing had her bench warrant dissolved and bail set at $10,000 unsecured by Domalakes and part of the court order was she must reside at 112 W. South St., Mahanoy City, and must maintain her current phone number so authorities can call. She was charged by Patrolman Brian Thompson, Rush Township police, with two counts of theft from Walmart Store. The unsecured bail means she does not have to post any cash but if she violates the rules she is liable for the $10,000.Joseph F. Tucci, 34, Pottsville, had his bench warrant dissolved by Domalakes and bail set at ROR. He faces charges brought by Patrolman Shawn Tray, West Mahanoy Township, of cashing a bad check.Exonorate storeA jury ruled a supermarket store in Shenandoah was not negligent and denied any damages to Edward and Sarah Jane Huhn, of Gordon.They filed a civil action against Redner's Warehouse Market claiming Edward Huhn, 77, suffered injuries to his right knee when he was caused to fall in a puddle of water in the store. The accident happened Jan. 8, 2005, and it was raining and misty that day. The store claimed it attempted to warn all it customers about the wet conditions by posting signs at the entrance and also having employees use mops and brooms to clear the entrance. It was brought out Huhn had suffered initial injuries to a knee while working on the railroad in 1959 and reinjured the leg by falling in his yard. He had to have a knee replacement.Settlement reachedThe civil suit brought by Michele R. Kanger and Thomas L. Kanger, her husband, of 60 Yeold Dam Road, Tamaqua, versus Dr. Timothy G. Grube and the Comprehensive Women's Health Services, P.C., both of Pottsville, was settled out of court. A jury was seated and ready to hear testimony when counsel for both parties announced they reached a settlement and Judge Charles M. Miller released the jury. The suit concerned alleged medical negligence.Revoke probationRenee Nicole Scicchitano, 23, Kulpmont, had her probaton revoked by Judge D. Michael Stine for failing to report a new arrest to her probation officer. Stine ordered that she be committed to serve the balance of her original sentence in the county prison which means she will be serving out a sentence of two to 23 months, however, since she has serve 64 days in prison she was granted immediate parole. She had pleaded guilty to retail theft from the Deb Shop, Schuylkill Mall and was placed on probation for 18 months last January.Michael William Steele, 30, Minersville, had his parole revoked by Judge John E. Domalakes and he was remanded to the county prison to seerve out his sentence. His 251 days of libery were taken away and added to his maximum sentence which was extended to July 25, 2010. Steele pleaded guilty last November to possession of drug paraphernalia and served 10 days in prison and released on probation for 12 months.Alicia Marie Roten, 28, Pottsville, broke into tears as Domalakes revoked her probation and re-sentenced her to serve 18 to 36 months in a state correctional institution. She received credit for serving 138 days. She was given time to spend with her children but must report to the county prison on Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. to be transported to a state facility. She had pleaded gultty to drug charges and was out on probation for 23 months.
