Northwestern baseball drops opener

Northwestern opened its season with a non-league loss on what was scheduled to be Opening Day for most high school baseball and softball teams.

Poor field conditions forced the postponement of all the other scheduled openers on the diamond Friday.BASEBALLNorthwestern-Blue Mt.Blue Mountain opened its season with a convincing 8-2 non-league win over Northwestern.Sean Greenawalt had a pair of hits and drove in five runs for the Eagles.
