Lansford Alive! stages annual fall cleanup

Lansford Alive! held its annual fall cleanup throughout the borough on Saturday. Group trustee Bob Dobosh said that about 15 volunteers raked leaves and picked up debris to make the town prettier for the autumn season.

The workers included the Swan family of Coaldale mother Nina, and her sons Chance, 9, and Joseph, 14.Nina Swan said the family decided to join the effort after seeing a flier posted at Boyer's Market in Lansford."They all go to the same school district, Panther Valley, so we should all pitch in no matter which town it is," she said.
