A Carbon County man admitted to burglary and also entered pleas in two other cases on Monday in the county court. He was one of seven defendants in pending cases to enter a plea before Judge Steven R. Serfass.

Meth labTodd Greene, 39, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to a burglary charge but also admitted to operating a methamphetamine lab. In a third case he entered a plea to receiving stolen property.Greene was charged by agents of the state Attorney General's office with operating a meth lab at his residence at 400 Mahoning St.Agents secured a search warrant for the home on March 9. Found in the home was four plastic bottles containing suspected liquid meth residue, un-iodized salt, lighter fluid, drain opener, sulfuric acid, muriatic acid, aluminum foil, coffee filters, and vinyl tubing. Agents said all the items was used in the manufacture of meth.He was also charged with entering Diana's Corner Store in East Penn Township on Feb. 1, 2012, and removing items including lottery tickets and cigarettes. He pleaded to receiving in that case.The third case was a burglary the property of Vincent Macalush where a shed was entered and removed was various camping equipment.Serfass accepted the pleas but deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.Gets jail timeRyan Matthew Rehrig, 33, of Palmerton, was given a jail sentence after pleading guilty to one count each of flight to avoid apprehension, escape, false identification to law enforcement, and driving under suspension.Rehrig was arrested on Aug. 5 following a traffic stop by state police at Lehighton. Troopers stopped Rehrig along SR248 near the Palmerton exit in Lower Towamensing Township.At the stop Rehrig gave a false name. When Trooper Robert J. Kirby went to his patrol car to check the name, Rehrig began to pull away. The trooper followed for a short distance and Rehrig stopped. He then exited his car and fled on foot into nearby woods, but was arrested by Kirby.On the flight to avoid charge Serfass sentenced him to serve two to six months in the county prison; on the escape charge, four to one day less 18 months in jail consecutive to the first count; on the false ID count one year probation consecutive to the other counts, and on the summary suspension charge a fine of $500.He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, and render a total of 200 hours of community service when released on parole.It was noted Rehrig is currently in the county prison on a probation violation. His attorney, Gregory Lee Mousseau, said he has agreed to admit to the violations charged and will receive a six-month prison term which will run concurrent to the new sentence.Other pleasOther defendants who entered guilty pleas included:Thomas J. Shainline, 40, of Kunkletown, pleaded to counts of persistent disorderly conduct, harassment, and public drunkenness.He was arrested on June 28 by state police at Lehighton for an incident in the area of Elm St. and Cherry Hill Road, in Towamensing Township. Troopers said it was a road rage incident.On the conduct and harassment charges he was placed on probation for a year on each, consecutive to each other. On the drunkenness charge he was fined $300.He was also ordered to perform a total of 100 hours of community service and get a D&A evaluation.David Lee Rauch, 44, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count of persistent disorderly conduct. He was arrested on Sept. 18 in the area of 513 School St. by Jim Thorpe police. Police responded to a report of a suicidal person and found Rauch in a vehicle outside the home. Witnesses told police Rauch had threatened to harm himself. He struggled with police after getting out of the car and being taken to a police cruiser.Serfass placed him on probation for a year and ordered him to get a D&A evaluation, render 50 hours of community service, and make restitution to borough police for $65.Tara Jo Hauser, 29, of Palmerton, pleaded to one count of false ID to law enforcement. She was arrested on Feb. 12 by state police at Lehighton following a traffic stop at SR248 and State Road in Franklin Township. She was a passenger in the vehicle and gave a false name to troopers.She was placed on probation for a year and ordered to get a D&A evaluation and render 50 hours of community service.William Buccieri, 34, of Tuscarora, pleaded to one count of harassment, as a summary offense. A charge of criminal conspiracy to commit criminal mischief was dropped in a plea agreement approved by the victim.He was arrested for a road rage type incident by Lehighton police that occurred on July 7, 2012, in the area of the Dollar General Store on N. First St. He was a passenger in a car in which the driver got into a confrontation with another driver.Serfass imposed a fine of $300 and restitution of $488.71 to the victim, which was paid by the defendant after the court proceeding.Shawn Michael Kistler, 30, of New Ringgold, pleaded to the summary charge of careless driving. He was the driver of the car involved in the incident with Buccieri his passenger. A criminal conspiracy charge was dropped in a plea agreement.He was fined $25 and ordered to make restitution of $488.71, which has already been paid.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs, which average about $1,000, and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
