Tamaqua police will file multiple charges against a Tuscarora man following an incident in the borough on Oct. 28.
According to police, Jason Demarco, 38, of 627 Wyoming St., was in the borough harassing Jennifer Demarco. Ms. Demarco contacted police after Jason repeatedly confronted her as she was operating a motor vehicle.
As she was stopped for a red light at the intersection of W. Broad and Nescopec streets, Jason pulled up alongside of her vehicle, beeping the horn of his vehicle and yelling at her. She turned right on to Nescopec and then left on to Cottage Avenue. Jason continued on Broad Street, then turned right on to Hunter Street and turned on to Cottage Avenue, cutting off Jennifer's vehicle. As he continued to block the intersection, stopped perpendicularly, Jason again began yelling and screaming at Jennifer, who had her young children in the car.
Jennifer backed up Cottage Avenue with Jason now driving toward her. She continued backing up until Jason stopped. He then turned around and left the area.
He will be charged with stalking, reckless endangerment, harassment, disorderly conduct and reckless driving.
