Funds aid Suicide Task Force

Tara Stauffenburg of Tamaqua, left, presents a check to Debbie Heim, co-chair of the Schuylkill County Suicide Task Force following the fifth annual Dudefest celebration. Stauffenburg created the Dudefest event in memory of her late brother after he committed suicide. With the $3,000 from this year's event, the task force has received $10,000 since the event began. It is held annually at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club. For more information about the suicide prevention program, or to get help, call 800-SUICIDE (800-784-2433), 800-273-TALK (800-273-8255) or the deaf hotline at 800-799-4889.
