A McAdoo woman has been cited as a result of a traffic stop made in the borough on Oct. 29.

An officer was on patrol at 1:52 a.m. when he saw a black GMC Yukon being driven west on Grant Street. The officer recognized the vehicle and knew the owner didn't have a valid driver's license.As the vehicle was being backed into a parking space on East Grant Street, the officer saw that the passenger side brake light wasn't functioning and initiated a traffic stop.The driver was identified as Cheryl Neikam of McAdoo. She admitted having three drinks before getting behind the wheel of the SUV.She was given, and failed, field sobriety tests, then cited for driving under the influence of alcohol.
