The Towamensing Fire Company meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. It recently named officers for the coming year.

The company president is Rich Bachert and vice president is Ryan Snyder.Gary Anthony was named treasurer and Ann Bachert will be the secretary.The financial secretaries are Betty Knirnschild and Wendy Keller.Fire Chief Wayne Knirnschild remains in that position with Rich Bachert as the first assistant chief. Ryan Snyder is second assistant chief.Eric George heads the fire police as captain, with Dick Bachert as his lieutenant. The emergency medical technician-quick response services medical captain is Austin Lesko.Fire company directors are Justin Heydt, Dick Bachert, Betty Knirnschild, Wendy Keller, Ann Bachert and Eric George.Fire drills are held every Monday night. On Tuesday nights bingo is offered. New members are always welcome for the company or fire police. Stop in at any first-Wednesday meeting.
