Students at Our Lady of the Angels Academy and the Little Angels Preschool have recently adopted several soldiers overseas.

In order to show their appreciation for the efforts of the servicemen and women, the students collected items to send to them. Some of the items collected included gum, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, lotion, tuna, chocolate, tissues, body wash, disposable razors, peanut butter crackers, beef jerky, and various snacks.

The families and community members proved to be very generous in their giving, including the Nesquehoning AMVETs who helped to pay for the costs of shipping the packages.

As a special thank you, the teachers at OLOAA also organized a living flag picture of all of the students of the Little Angels Preschool and Our Lady of the Angels Academy. A copy of the picture was placed in each care package.
