Carbon man facing drug charges

A Carbon County man was one of two men arrested on drug charges following a vehicle stop in Lehigh County. Upper Macungie Township police said the stop occurred about 12:47 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, along Route 100, near Nursery Street, in Fogelsville.

Police said a 1994 Honda Civic was stopped for erratic driving, speeding, and displaying a suspended license plate. Police found a small amount of marijuana as well as 20 capsules of the synthetic narcotic known as "molly."Arrested were Bryan Yerk, 20, of Summit Hill, and Daryl McKeon, 19, of Red Hill, Montgomery County.Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. They were arraigned and held on $10,000 bail each.Police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and additional narcotics were found including a small amount of marijuana, "molly", LSD, drug paraphernalia, and drug packaging supplies.Police said Yerk and McKeon will face additional charges.
