Mary Ann Lawson recently participated in a twirling contest at the Shippensburg State Fair and copped six awards out of six categories. They were two first place awards, three second place and one third place.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lawson, she is a freshman at Panther Valley High School and featured twirler of the varsity band.She entertained on Sunday at the Panther Valley Chamber of Commerce picnic. Her routine drew much applause.
