The skinny: The Spartans tallied 29 first quarter points with a balanced attack before Panther Valley played them fairly evenly the rest of the way.

The offensive standout: For North Schuylkill, Ethan Motsney and Matt Gownley rushed for 120 yards and Dan McSurdy caught two TD passes for a combined 108 yards.

The defensive standout: The Spartan defense sacked PV quarterback Matt Levitt five times.

The turning point: After the Panthers closed a first half gap to 14-6, the Spartans scored 15 points in only two drives totaling three plays.

The records: North Schuylkill is 6-3; Panther Valley is 3-6.
