Pete and Nancy Herzog of Slatington recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the Emerald Fire Company.

The were married at Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, by the Rev. Robert J. Urffer on May 19, 1962.Both Pete and Nancy are graduates of Slatington High School.Prior to their retirement, Pete was employed by Mack Trucks for 31 years.Nancy was employed by the Lehigh County Housing Authority for 18 years, and prior to that, by the Northern Lehigh School District.Pete is the son of the late George and Mary Herzog. Nancy is the daughter of the late Albert and Ella Gogel.They are the parents of Gregory, Gwen and Timothy; and the grandparents of Joelle, Evan and Olivia Herzog.They are active members of Faith Alive United Methodist Church in Bowmanstown.
