Jim Thorpe police have arrested Richard J. Hartman, 36, of 10 Cedar Ave., Jim Thorpe, on charges of access device fraud, receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.

The arrest stems from a complaint police received on Sept. 12 from Peggy Ann Hausman, the victim, who told her she believed her nephew, Richard Hartman, stole her credit/debit card and made several unauthorized transactions with it.Police said the transactions occurred on Sept. 2, 3, 6 and 8 with the total money withdrawal being $400.Police said upon interviewing the nephew, he admitted making the transactions without having consent to do so.
