Summit Hill police warning

Summit Hill police chief Joe Fittos is warning people about the most recent phone scam.

He's had reports of people getting calls from people identifying themselves as representatives of Publishers Clearinghouse, telling them they have won millions of dollars in sweepstakes money, but that they first need to send a check to pay the taxes on the winnings."It's a scam," Fittos said Friday. Please do not follow through on their instructions."He said the real Publishers Clearinghouse shows up at your door unexpectedly, they don't call you and ask for a check."If it sounds too good to be true, stay away from it," he said.
