Bake your favorite cookies to be judged for the Tamaqua Community Spirit of Christmas Cookie Contest. There are four cookie categories: 1. Drop Cookie. 2. Bar Cookie. 3. Decorated Cookie. 4. Filled Cookie. Bring cookie entries to the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce, 114 W. Broad Street, on Saturday, Dec. 3 between 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Minimum of two dozen cookies. Winners will be announced at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sun., Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. All entries will be shared with the community. Register by December 2. Winners will receive a $25 Downtown Tamaqua Gift Certificate. The contest is sponsored by the Tamaqua Beautification Association.
