The Rush Township board of supervisors announced that a Red Cross Blood Drive will be held in the township municipal building, 104 Mahanoy Avenue, on Tuesday, April 5, from 1 to 6 p.m.

Additionally, the township bicentennial committee welcomes all interested persons to attend their next meeting on Wednesday, April 13, at 6 p.m.The board also gratefully acknowledged the receipt of two floral arrangements in commemoration of the bicentennial. One was sent from Guy's Flowers in Hometown, the other from Marian High School.The board has requested township property owners to sweep up the dirt and debris that has accumulated on their property over the winter months. Residents are encouraged to sweep the debris into piles and then call the administration office at (570) 668-2938 to schedule a pick-up by the road department.
