On July 2, at 7:30 p.m., naturalist George Gress will host a program on bog turtles at Locust Lake Amphitheatre. Gress is a fire specialist/land steward for the Nature Conservancy and manages the bog turtle program in Pennsylvania.
During the program, participants will learn about the smallest turtles in Pennsylvania that are federally listed as threatened and are protected under the Endangered Species Act. They will also view photographs, taken by Gress, on the habitats and lives of these turtles.
In case of inclement weather, the presentation will be held in the program shelter at Locust Lake, near the campstore.
