DUI and drug arrests reported

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on a driving under the influence (DUI) and drug arrests.

On Sunday, June 12, about 8:11 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along SR115 near Exxon station in Blakeslee for failing to dim its high beam lights. The driver was identified as Jonel Rish, 27, of Blakeslee.While speaking with Rish officers observed a glass pipe containing marijuana residue in his possession. He was also found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests.Police said he will be charged with DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.On Saturday, June 11, about 11:35 p.m. officers on foot patrol in the infield staging area of Pocono International Raceway observed a male leaning into a pickup truck.The male was identified as Christopher Reedy, 33, of Wyoming, Luzerne County. As officers walked by Reedy they observed him smoking a metal pipe containing marijuana.Speaking with Reedy officers learned he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was placed under arrest on drug counts and later released after processing at police headquarters.
