Theft, mischief incident probed

State police at Frackville are investigating a theft incident and act of criminal mischief at two Schuylkill County locations.

The theft occurred at the Vito Rinaldi Chrysler dealership located along the Goldstar Highway, in West Mahanoy Township, just outside Shenandoah. Unknown criminals removed four, 20-inch rims and tires from a 2010 Dodge Challenger located on a lot at the dealership. The theft occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, and 7:45 a.m. on Monday.The mischief incident occurred on Jan. 24 about 1 p.m. along Main St., in Gilberton. Troopers said an employee of Kosar Oil, Shenandoah, was delivering oil when a blue vehicle drove over the hose used in the oil delivery. The hose became entangled with the vehicle and was pulled from the truck causing damage.The driver then fled the scene.
