Rt. 61 crash nets two minor injuries

Two persons suffered what police called minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash at 2:48 p.m. Dec. 20 on Route 61, near Tobash Road, in North Manheim Township.

Pollice said Taylor Housel, 18, of Schuylkill Haven, and Robert Bryden, 26, of Pottsville, sustained the minoe injuries.Police said Housel was driving a 2001 Ford Focus southbound on Rt. 61 when it traveled over the concrete divider and entered the northbound land. The passenger side front of the Focus impacted the driver's side front of a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by Bryden. The Focus continued to spin out of control, striking the passenger side front door of a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by Robert Stablum, 63, of Pottsville. he was uninjured.Police said the truck, after impact, traveled down an embankment and struck a Verizon utility pole.The Focus and F-150 sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene. Stablum's Camry received minor damages.
